Mental Health: Best of Both Worlds

May 17, 2023 5:00-6:00 PM

Being different is one of our greatest gifts. Sometimes generational gaps can create feelings of disconnection, isolation, and confusion. Children, adolescents and families who feel disconnected from their own culture or the culture they encounter in their environment may find it difficult to connect with peers and develop healthy social relationships. They may also struggle to understand society’s norms and expectations, leading to low self-esteem or even depression.

Additionally, cultural gaps can lead to misunderstandings, and miscommunication, affecting mental health. In the workshop, we will create the opportunities to learn from our differences and to create the best possible world for our family.
